About Us
Pappy's Place is owned and operated by Chris and Andrea Thompson. It was started out of Chris's love for cooking. And each and every meal is still cooked with love. We are a family run business, and you will often find our children and grandchildren here helping out.
Our name came from our grandchildren, as "Pappy" was too young to be called grandpa. All 14 of our grandchildren consider him "Pappy".
We take great pride in our food being fresh and cooked when ordered. While precooking and keeping food in warmers or purchasing pre-packaged frozen food would be a much quicker process, our goal is to give you homemade, fresh ingredients, quality food that will change your life, one bite at a time.
We do not have big corporate money that can provide a fancy spot for you to dine. We remodel, build and refurbish our restaurant on our own. With blood, sweat and tears, our own hands have done everything to change this restaurant into a comfortable and welcoming place for you to visit. We are always improving and there are big things still to come.
We do our very best to source locally first. Our tables were made from lumber purchased from a local one-man sawmill. Our produce, when possible, comes from area farms. Our Ribeye's come from a local farm providing grass fed, grain finished quality beef. Our Hot Peppers come from a local grower as well as a member of our community dries our Hot Peppers to give you heat all year long. We are pleased to support our local small businesses and thank them for their support as well.
Our Community is very important to us. We live here, we work here and we support our community. You will often find us giving a meal to someone in need. Organizing fundraisers for our local non-profit organizations, School organizations and sporting teams in our community. And we continue to add new ways that we reach out and support our community and the friends and neighbors here.
We are thrilled you are here and look forward to seeing you and your family for many years to come.
